Loughborough West, Hathern, Shepshed, Dishley & Thorpe Acre Newsletter
Welcome to the monthly update for the residents and communities of the NL64 Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA). This newsletter will be circulated on a regular basis and will provide an insight into what is happening at the NPA.
PC 196 Jo Nock
Priority 1—Drug dealing The beat team are currently developing intelligence for a number of locations within the beat, with one partial closure order in place and another one awaiting a court hearing. Local officers with the support of specialist units executed warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act at addresses in Loughborough and Shepshed. Several persons were arrested with enquiries ongoing.
Priority 2—Theft from motor vehicle Reports to Police have decreased in January 2026 with 5 thefts from motor vehicles on the beat. Officers have been giving out simple steps to help reduce the risk of becoming a victim. These include: · Removing valuables from display · Ensuring vehicles are locked, even for quick stops · Parking in well‑lit, busy areas where possible
Priority 3—Road Safety The safety camera speed enforcement vehicle had the following results in December 2025: Ashby Road, A512—25 speeding offences reported. A6 Derby Road, Loughborough—2 speeding offences reported. The beat team have also conducted speed checks on Tickow Lane, Shepshed with no one exceeding the 30mph speed limit.
This month we’ve responded to an increase in reports of anti‑social behaviour around Shepshed. As a result, four local youths have been issued advice letters and their behaviour will continue to be monitored by the beat team. Officers have also supported Charnwood Borough Council with an eviction on Brook Street, Shepshed, as part of ongoing work to address persistent issues affecting local residents. We’ll continue to work with our partners and the community to keep the beat a safe and welcoming place to live.
